The worldwide success of the online game "Black Myth: WuKong" once again proves the limitless potential for exploration in classic literary works.

Under new conditions, we must maintain composure and confidence, adhere to the essence of literature, while also expanding our horizons and embracing the new developments and applications of science and technology. We should engage in extensive dialogue with various art forms, continuously explore and accept new literary genres, making the realm of literature broader and truly establishing literature as the mother of all arts and the foundation of cultural creation.

Literature must consciously respond to the rapid societal changes. President Xi Jinping pointed out: "The profound transformations of ancient China and the extremely rich production and life of hundreds of millions of Chinese people provide a very fertile ground for artistic creation, with so much worth writing about." The unprecedented changes of the new era, from the vast landscapes to the spiritual and emotional worlds of individuals, are reshaping Chinese society in a subtle yet fundamental way. The tremendous changes in social development demand that literature break free from established inertia, step out of its "comfort zone," and vigorously renew its concepts, update its themes, and innovate its techniques. The Chinese Writers Association actively embraces new changes, adapts to new environments, and establishes new concepts, proposing the proposition of "literature in the new era" to guide the vast number of writers to focus on social realities, grasp the development of the times, "encompassing the world within form, and expressing all things through the pen," continuously expanding the themes, styles, languages, and forms of literature, and powerfully expressing the new content and experiences of the era's development.

In recent years, the Chinese Writers Association has empowered rural revitalization through literature, contributing to the creation of the Qingxi literary village in Hunan, and passionately depicting the monumental changes in mountain villages in the new era. In this month, the Chinese Writers Association, in collaboration with the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, organized the "Post-Goldbach Conjecture: Science Fiction and Popular Science Writers Week," where science fiction and popular science writers engaged in in-depth discussions with astronauts and scientists on the integration of literature and new forms of productive forces, inspiring and benefiting each other, and effectively promoting the collaborative advancement of literature and science.

文学要有效呼应人民精神文化生活的需求之变。习近平总书记指出：“随着人民生活水平不断提高，人民对包括文艺作品在内的文化产品的质量、品位、风格等的要求也更高了。”今天，人民的生活方式、审美方式、情感方式，都发生了重大而深刻的变化。我国已建成世界上规模最大的教育体系，接受高等教育的人口达到.亿，新增劳动力平均受教育年限超过年，劳动力素质结构发生了重大变化，全民素质稳步提高，人们的知识储备和审美鉴赏力普遍提升，对文学阅读、鉴赏、参与都提出了前所未有的要求。

Responding to the increasingly diverse cultural needs of the people and meeting their continuously rising aesthetic expectations are important responsibilities of literature. In recent years, the Chinese Writers Association has successively established strategic partnerships with units such as the State Administration of Radio and Television, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the China Association for Science and Technology, as well as internet platforms such as Mango, Douyin, Kuaishou, Youku, and Toutiao. These collaborations aim to promote the transformation of outstanding literary works into forms such as films, TV dramas, micro-short dramas, online audio-visual content, and stage performances, thereby extending the literary dissemination chain and realizing the appreciation and amplification of literary value. The association supports and encourages literary journals, newspapers, and online platforms to adapt to digital trends, explore new business models, and continuously expand their readership coverage.

The renewal and transformation of literary creation, production, and dissemination methods, along with the continuous improvement of readers' quality, serve as the "booster" for the high-quality development of literature in the new era. The proactive response to the challenges of the times presents a favorable opportunity for the soaring development of literature in the new era.
