my country's first offshore thermal recovery pilot area has produced more than 10,000 tons of crude oil from thermal recovery
The reporter recently learned from the Tianjin Branch of CNOOC that the cumulative crude oil production at the first offshore thermal recovery pilot area in China, the Nanpu Oilfield South District, has exceeded 10,000 tons.
According to the introduction, as one of the earlier developed heavy oil fields in the Bohai region, the Nanpu Oilfield has crude oil viscosity in the southern area reaching millipascal seconds, resulting in very low productivity and recovery rates for conventional development. If thermal injection development is solely implemented in the southern area of the oilfield, the deep burial of crude oil and thin reservoir layers in the region can easily lead to heat loss issues, resulting in poor thermal recovery effects.
To promote the movement of heavy oil, production and research personnel have continuously advanced technical research and development, conducted a series of tests on diversified hot fluid huff and puff and steam flooding development, optimized the formation of the diversified hot fluid huff and puff technology using "hot water + nitrogen + carbon dioxide," which produces dual positive effects of "viscosity reduction + energy enhancement," effectively improving the flowability of heavy oil and successfully making it "move." Currently, the diversified hot fluid huff and puff technology has contributed over 10,000 tons of crude oil to the Nanpu Oilfield, effectively assisting in the efficient development of heavy oil in the southern area of the Nanpu Oilfield.
In addition, production and research personnel have tailored their strategies to the specific conditions of the "well," scientifically implementing flow field regulation strategies. They have continuously carried out experiments and field applications of integrated thermal recovery tubing strings and new high-temperature plugging and plugging technologies, ensuring that crude oil, driven by steam and flowing in different directions, moves more smoothly and evenly. It is reported that flow field regulation strategies have been applied in near-well scenarios, enhancing oil recovery rates and driving the continuous "realization" of Bohai heavy oil reserves.
