On the date, HBIS released three Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its iron ore concentrate products from the Yan Shan Iron Mine, Si Jiaying Iron Mine, and Zhongguan Iron Mine of HBIS Group Mining Company on the China Iron and Steel Association platform. The release of these EPDs enables downstream enterprises to obtain accurate environmental information about upstream iron ore materials, facilitating green procurement. It also supports HBIS in conducting environmental performance assessments throughout the product lifecycle, contributing to the construction of a green and low-carbon steel industry chain.

As the core raw material for steel production, the green transformation of mines is not only an intrinsic requirement for the sustainable development of the industry but also a key part of HBIS's strategic transformation. Under the guidance of the "dual carbon" goals, HBIS has conducted comprehensive and in-depth planning for the green and low-carbon development of mines, developed the Carbon Data Management System for mining enterprises and the Carbon Footprint Platform for ore products, and successfully deployed them on the digital platform for carbon neutrality. The launch of the platform marks a new breakthrough for HBIS in carbon management of iron concentrate production, providing strong support for optimizing production processes and reducing carbon emissions.

Relying on this platform, HBIS organized its mining operations to conduct internal carbon accounting. At the beginning of this year, it officially initiated the certification process for three mines: HBIS Mining's Yanshan Iron Mine, Sijiaying Iron Mine, and Zhongguan Iron Mine. The certification process comprehensively examined the environmental impact of iron concentrate throughout its entire life cycle, from mining and processing to transportation and use, significantly enhancing the environmental transparency of the products and meeting HBIS's demand for carbon footprint information in its efforts to create low-carbon products.

The release of this iron concentrate has laid a solid raw material foundation for the green and low-carbon development of the entire steel industry chain, enhancing the brand image of HBIS.
