Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping recently signed a command to release the "Interim Regulations on the Management of Reserve Personnel."

The Regulations adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deeply implement Xi Jinping's Strong Military Thought, focus on promoting the implementation of the "People's Republic of China Reserve Personnel Law," and aim to construct a clear-oriented, hierarchical, and systematically supportive management system for reserve personnel in the new era. They also aim to improve the systems for the selection and replenishment of reserve personnel, the conferral and promotion of ranks, the appointment of positions and duties, education and training, assessment, benefits and security, and the withdrawal from reserve service, providing support for strengthening the reserve personnel team.
