So far, electronic driving licenses have been issued to over 10 million vehicle owners, achieving positive results. Recently, to further expand the benefits of the reform, the Ministry of Public Security has arranged for the nationwide phased promotion and application of electronic motor vehicle driving licenses from a certain date to a certain date. Vehicle owners can apply for electronic driving licenses through the unified "Traffic Management" platform according to the local activation schedule.

It should be noted that, in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Law, the paper vehicle license should be carried with the vehicle; the electronic vehicle license is primarily used for related window services.

How to apply for an electronic driving license?

Personal Vehicle Application: Personal users log in to "Traffic Management," click on the "Electronic Certificate" feature on the homepage, and enter the "Electronic Certificate" sub-function. For users with motor vehicles under their name, they can click the [Apply] button on the right side of the electronic driver's license to apply.

Unit Vehicle Application: After logging in as a unit user on "Traffic Management" and switching to the unit user version, click on the "Motor Vehicle List" item at the bottom of the homepage to enter the "Motor Vehicle Detailed Information" page, then click on [Electronic Vehicle License] to apply for it.

After receiving the user's request to apply for an electronic driving license, the system verifies the vehicle status information and informs the application result through "Traffic Management."

How to use the electronic driving license?

I directly log in to "Traffic Management," click on the "Electronic Certificate Credential" function on the homepage, enter the "Electronic Certificate" sub-function, and click on the item in the list below to display the electronic driver's license.

After the unit vehicle switches to the unit user version, click on the "Motor Vehicle List" item at the bottom of the homepage to enter the "Motor Vehicle Details" page, then click on [Electronic Vehicle License] to view.

Authorizing Others to Present: To use the electronic vehicle license of a vehicle that is not owned by oneself or one's unit, authorization from the vehicle owner, legal representative of the unit, or vehicle manager is required. Click the [Authorize] button below the electronic vehicle license to enter the authorization list. Click [Add Authorization] at the bottom of the page, fill in the authorized person's ID number, name, and authorization validity period, select the purpose, and submit the authorization. After submission, the authorized person's electronic document list will include the authorized electronic vehicle license, which can be clicked to display the authorized electronic vehicle license. The maximum validity period of the authorization is individual working days.

The owner of the motor vehicle or the legal representative of the unit, as well as the vehicle manager, can click the [Revoke Authorization] button in the authorization list to terminate the authorization midway. Once the authorization is revoked or expires, the electronic driver's license will automatically become invalid, and it will no longer be displayed in the "Traffic Management" section for the authorized person.

How to download the electronic driving license? For online business processing that requires the submission of a driving license, users can choose to download the electronic driving license image. The specific operation is as follows: click the [Download] button below the electronic driving license, fill in the purpose and validity period for direct presentation by oneself, and download directly for authorized presentation. The downloaded electronic driving license is watermarked with the user, purpose, and validity period, with the longest validity period being individual working days.
