According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, a 5.5-magnitude earthquake occurred at 10:24 on a certain date in Minfeng County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located at 36.50 degrees north latitude and 83.77 degrees east longitude.

Epicenter topography: The average elevation within a radius of kilometers from the epicenter is approximately meters.

Historical Earthquakes: According to the rapid report catalog of the China Earthquake Networks Center, there have been a total of 10 earthquakes measuring 6.0 or above within 200 kilometers around the epicenter in recent years. The largest earthquake was a 7.3-magnitude event that occurred on June 21, 2014, in Yutian County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang (100 kilometers from the current epicenter). The distribution of the top 10 historical earthquakes by magnitude is shown in the figure.
