In the practical application of digital RMB, innovations surrounding digital RMB hard wallets have been continuously emerging, including various shaped cards and "digital RMB cards" and "digital RMB employee badges" that integrate with existing physical carriers. However, during the implementation of digital RMB hard wallets, the limited acceptance scenarios have been a significant pain point. On the acceptance side, the digital RMB hard wallets that users receive primarily rely on merchant acceptance terminals to complete payments, which can only be done by "bumping" at merchants that have already upgraded their acceptance environments.

However, recently, several digital RMB operators have jointly developed and launched the "Visual Hard Wallet" for digital RMB. Based on this innovative product, users can now pay by "touching" or "scanning," expanding the scope of acceptance scenarios.

It is reported that compared to the traditional digital RMB hard wallets of the past, the newly released digital RMB "visual hard wallet" has added a visual screen on the original basis. This not only displays the transaction amount, transaction time, and wallet balance in real-time but also includes a function to show dynamic payment QR codes, adapting to various scanning payment methods. When consumers use the digital RMB "visual hard wallet" for payment, merchants can either "tap" to receive payment or "scan" the dynamic QR code on the "visual hard wallet" to receive payment. This method, using machines, scanning guns, or mobile phones for collection, greatly expands the range of merchants that can accept hard wallets.

In addition to upgrades on the acceptance side, as reported by journalists, the "visual hard wallet" is also very convenient to apply for. Currently, the "visual hard wallet" can be quickly applied for and recharged at digital RMB self-service terminals in various locations such as border crossings, airports, high-speed railway stations, and hotels. It supports recharge and use with RMB cash, foreign currency cash, and major foreign cards such as Mastercard.
