SASAC Announces Multiple Lists of State-Owned Enterprises Fulfilling Social Responsibilities, with Several Steel Companies Included.
To further promote state-owned enterprises in fulfilling their social responsibilities to a high standard, on a certain date, the "Seventh China Enterprise Forum: Parallel Forum on Social Responsibility of State-owned Enterprises" was successfully held in Beijing. The forum was organized by the Social Responsibility Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and undertaken by the Responsibility Cloud Research Institute. The meeting focused on the theme of "Fulfilling Social Responsibilities to a High Standard to Create Sustainable Development Value." Participants included representatives from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, central enterprises, local state-owned asset supervision and administration commissions, and state-owned enterprises.
The meeting released the "Blue Book on Corporate Social Responsibility of Central Enterprises ()", the "Blue Book on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) of Central Enterprises Abroad ()", the "Blue Book on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) of Listed Companies of Central Enterprises ()", and the "Blue Book on Social Responsibility of State-owned Assets and State-owned Enterprises ()". Additionally, the "Top Ten Cases" of corporate social responsibility were released in video format, comprehensively summarizing the development experience and stage characteristics of state-owned enterprises in fulfilling their social responsibilities.
The "Blue Book on Social Responsibility of Central Enterprises ()" is guided by the Social Responsibility Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and executed by the Responsibility Cloud Research Institute. It systematically analyzes and summarizes the social responsibility work of central enterprises from the perspectives of practice, management, and communication, in line with the latest "Guidelines on High-standard Fulfillment of Social Responsibility by Central Enterprises in the New Era" issued by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. This marks the eighth consecutive year of publishing the "Blue Book on Social Responsibility of Central Enterprises" and the third consecutive year of releasing the "Pioneer Index of Responsibility Management in Central Enterprises." It also includes the recommendation and mutual evaluation of outstanding cases of social responsibility among central enterprises, selecting 100 outstanding cases from central enterprises to be included in the Blue Book, and for the first time, it has selected the top ten cases of social responsibility among central enterprises.
"Pioneer Index of Central Enterprise Responsibility Management" evaluates 100 central enterprises based on the latest "Guidance" issued by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, which outlines the requirements for central enterprises' social responsibility management. It constructs a "six-in-one" evaluation model for central enterprise responsibility management, assessing the construction of central enterprises in aspects such as organizational leadership, institutional mechanisms, responsible practices, communication and dissemination, supervision and assessment, and work, based on publicly available information on central enterprise responsibility management and authoritative media news reports. The index identifies the top-performing central enterprises, providing important reference for the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council to coordinate and promote social responsibility work among central enterprises.
The "Blue Book on Overseas Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) of Central Enterprises" is guided by the Social Responsibility Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and executed by the Responsibility Cloud Research Institute. To promote the better practice of the concept by central enterprises overseas and enhance their international competitiveness and influence, following the continuous release of the "Blue Book on Overseas Social Responsibility of Central Enterprises" for six years, starting from this year, it has been officially updated to the "Blue Book on Overseas Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) of Central Enterprises". This focuses on the overseas work of central enterprises and widely collects outstanding overseas practice cases, ultimately including outstanding cases from central enterprises, and for the first time, ten excellent cases from central enterprises overseas have been selected from the best.
The Blue Book on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Practices of Central Enterprise Listed Companies is guided by the Social Responsibility Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and executed by the Responsibility Cloud Research Institute. It systematically analyzes and summarizes the practices, governance, indices, cases, and reports of central enterprise listed companies. This marks the fourth consecutive year of publishing the Blue Book on ESG Practices of Central Enterprise Listed Companies, during which the "Pioneer Index of Central Enterprises" was compiled. Additionally, outstanding practices of central enterprise listed companies were widely solicited, resulting in a total of outstanding cases from central enterprise listed companies being included, with ten top cases of central enterprise listed companies being selected for the first time.
The "Blue Book on Social Responsibility of State-owned Enterprises and State Capital" is guided by the Social Responsibility Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and executed by the Responsibility Cloud Research Institute. It comprehensively organizes the development trends and phased characteristics of social responsibility in state-owned enterprises and state capital, promoting more scientific, systematic, continuous, and efficient fulfillment of social responsibility by state-owned enterprises and state capital, and enhancing the influence of social responsibility work in these entities. This marks the third consecutive year of publishing the "Blue Book on Social Responsibility of State-owned Enterprises and State Capital," the third consecutive year of compiling the "Pioneer Index of Social Responsibility in State-owned Enterprises," and the second consecutive year of compiling the "Pioneer Index of Social Responsibility in Listed Companies of State-owned Enterprises." Additionally, it has widely collected outstanding cases of social responsibility management and practice in state-owned enterprises, ultimately including social responsibility excellence cases from state-owned enterprises, and for the first time, selected the top ten social responsibility cases among state-owned enterprises.
