It will lead audiences from around the world to explore the past, present, and future of the Maritime Silk Road.

It is also a profound tribute from Poly Culture and MGM to continue the Chinese cultural heritage, spread Chinese culture, and promote Chinese civilization, embodying the shared aspirations of safeguarding civilization, exchanging and learning, and cooperating for development. Poly Group and MGM will take this as a new opportunity to further support the construction of Macau as a "one center, one platform, one base," enrich the connotation of the World Tourism and Leisure Center, make the spread of Chinese civilization more colorful, broaden the horizons of mutual learning and mutual appreciation, and jointly write a new chapter of harmonious coexistence in the era.
The Poly MGM Museum spans nearly square meters, constructed according to the standards for displaying national first-class cultural relics. It integrates innovative technology with traditional intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship and innovative curatorial techniques to present high-quality cultural exhibitions. A journey through time and space.
The exhibition follows a chronological framework, blending ancient and modern, and integrating Chinese and foreign elements. It is divided into four thematic spaces: Monsoon, Cultural Pulse, Interweaving, and Connection, each showcasing the origins, development, impact, and future prospects of the Maritime Silk Road.
The "Monsoon" exhibition area in the First Space narrates the process of humanity moving from awe and understanding of the ocean to utilizing it and embarking on maritime explorations to discover the world, from a macro perspective. By connecting through the historical timeline of the development of oceanic civilization, it showcases the changes in people's lives brought about by the development of maritime culture in different historical periods, constructing vivid scenes of the Maritime Silk Road.
The "Cultural Context" exhibition area in the Second Space, with underwater archaeology as the thread and cultural relics as the focal point of display, outlines the appearance of the Maritime Silk Road from an archaeological perspective. Through shipwrecks, artifacts recovered from water, and ancient port remains, it vividly presents the history of the Maritime Silk Road. The relics narrate the past scenes of China's maritime trade and witness the ancient history sealed underwater.
The "Interweaving" exhibition area of the Third Space showcases the achievements of economic and cultural exchanges between the East and the West from various aspects such as commodity trade, pioneering envoys, cultural heritage, and immigration waves, providing a comprehensive display of the profound impact of the Maritime Silk Road on the global convergence of diverse civilizations.
Fourth Space "Connection" Exhibition: Focusing on the present and envisioning the future, it explores the protection and exploration of the ocean by humans in the new era through various means such as photography, artist creations, and installation art.
Wang Bo, Chairman of Poly Culture Group Corporation Limited, stated that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a forefront for China's interaction with the world, and Macau was once an important node on the Maritime Silk Road. A multicultural journey
"Poly MGM Museum" is the intersection of culture and time. Through cultural narratives and heritage, flexible and adaptable layout spaces, technology-driven artistic interactions, the cultural and aesthetic expression of materials, and top-notch techniques for artifact preservation and exhibition, the museum rejuvenates cultural treasures with new productive forces, making each exhibition a fresh interpretation of history and contemporary art. Amidst the interplay of light and shadow, it further stimulates the audience's artistic perception and creative exploration, using art to transcend national boundaries and showcase the grand vision of harmonious integration between East and West, thereby constructing a bridge for global cultural dialogue.
At the same time, the design of the museum empowers traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage crafts through modern architectural language. The exhibition hall columns ingeniously present the cloisonné enamel craftsmanship and Chinese corbel bracket wisdom, combining with the cultural relics and artistic elements of the co-building countries along the Belt and Road, achieving an organic integration of academic, knowledge, artistic, entertaining, and interactive elements, highlighting historical value and showcasing cultural heritage.
