The Laos hydropower station invested and built by Chinese companies has operated safely for 5000 days, with a cumulative power generation capacity of more than 6.7 billion kilowatt-hours.

On April 9, the Nanli 1-2 Hydropower Station in Laos, invested, constructed and operated by China Communications Group China Water Conservancy and Electric Power Foreign Co., Ltd., operated continuously and safely for 5000 days, with a cumulative power generation exceeding 6.7 billion kilowatt-hours, and its power supply covering the local population of 3 million. Laos Nanli 1-2 Hydropower Station has a total installed capacity of 100,000 kilowatts and a concession period of 25 years. It is one of the key projects jointly developed by China and Laos in the field of hydropower. In 2021, the Lao government awarded the power station the honorary title of national "Labor Medal".
