Baihetan Power Plant successfully completed the test of Chinese-made silicon carbide demagnetization resistors, which will change the current situation that domestic large-scale unit excitation systems rely entirely on imports for silicon carbide demagnetization resistors.

On March 26, it was learned from China Changjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Changjiang Electric Power") that the Baihetan Power Plant, a subsidiary of the company, successfully completed the test of silicon carbide magnetic-extinguishing resistors made in China, marking the large-scale unit excitation developed by Changjiang Electric Power Baihetan Power Plant. Another solid step has been taken in the manufacturing of silicon carbide magnetic-extinguishing resistors in China. This test is also the first real-machine test of Chinese-made silicon carbide demagnetizing resistors in large units.
