According to CCTV news, the Syria military issued a statement on April 1 saying that at about 17:00 that day, Israel launched an air strike from the Golan Heights on the consular branch of the Iranian Embassy in Syria in Damascus, the capital of Syria. Syria air defense forces intercepted Israeli missiles.

The air strikes have caused the complete collapse of the consular department of the Iranian Embassy in Syria and caused many casualties. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment, and the removal of debris at the scene is underway.

The public relations department of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on April 1 local time that Israel's air strike on the consular office building of the Iranian Embassy in Syria killed seven Iranian military personnel on the same day, including commanders of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps "Al-Quds Brigade" Mohammed Reza Zahdi and Mohammed Hadi Haji Rahimi.

On the same day, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Kanani strongly condemned Israel's attack on the consular office building of the Iranian Embassy in Syria. He said that the attack seriously violated international law, especially the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. This Israeli behavior should be condemned in the strongest terms by the international community and the United Nations, and measures should be taken against Israel.

Kanani said that the impact of this attack is under investigation, Israel should be responsible for the consequences of the incident, and Iran reserves the right to take countermeasures.
