On the morning of March 27, Hunan Province Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Hunan Energy Group") was inaugurated in Changsha.

Hunan Energy Group was established with Hunan Xiangtou Holding Group Co., Ltd. as the main body with a registered capital of 30 billion yuan. It is positioned as a provincial-level platform for comprehensive energy investment, construction and operation in Hunan Province and the implementation entity of the province's energy strategy. It is responsible for implementing the province's energy development strategy, undertaking the province's energy supply functional tasks, implementing the province's energy resource development tasks, undertaking investment and construction of major energy projects, and carrying out cooperation in major energy projects inside and outside the province on behalf of the province.

Hunan Energy Group will focus on the development vision of building a first-class comprehensive energy group in China, focus on the core business of energy, accelerate the construction of a number of major stable supply power projects such as coal, electricity, and pumped storage, vigorously develop wind and solar new energy, and actively promote the introduction of foreign power into Hunan, accelerate the formation of a new pattern of "wind, wind, water and water storage", coordinate the integrated development of the upper, lower and lower reaches of natural gas industries, and comprehensively improve the development and utilization level of natural gas in the province. Gradually establish a modern energy industry cluster integrating energy planning and design, investment and construction, production and operations, energy trading, equipment manufacturing, materials, big data, and comprehensive energy services, and play a leading role in the province's high-quality energy development.

From 2024 to 2030, Hunan Energy Group's investment in the energy field will exceed 100 billion yuan. By 2025, the installed capacity of holding power will exceed 10 million kilowatts, accounting for more than 10% of the total installed capacity of electric power in the whole province; by 2030, the installed capacity of holding power will be 22 million kilowatts, accounting for 20% of the total installed capacity of electric power in the whole province.
