Liu Bin, former Deputy Director and Deputy Party Secretary of the State Education Commission, passed away in Beijing on a certain date due to illness, at the age of 85.

Liu Bin, born in Pingxiang, Jiangxi, began working in May and joined the Communist Party of China in May . From , he served as a teacher in the International Students Office at Beijing Normal University, Director of the Education Bureau of Pingxiang City, Jiangxi, and later as a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor. From , he served as the Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province. From , he served as the Deputy Director and Party Member of the State Education Commission, Director of the State Language Work Committee. From , he served as the Deputy Director and Party Member of the State Education Commission, Head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection at the State Education Commission, Director of the State Language Work Committee, and Chief Inspector of the State Education Commission. From to , he served as the Deputy Director and Party Member of the State Education Commission, Head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection at the State Education Commission, and Chief Inspector of the State Education Commission. From to , he served as the Deputy Director and Deputy Party Secretary of the State Education Commission, Head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection at the State Education Commission, and Chief Inspector of the State Education Commission. From to , he served as the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Education.

Liu Bin was a member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the 14th CPC Central Committee, a delegate to the 15th National Congress of the CPC, a deputy to the Sixth National People's Congress, a member of the Education, Science, Culture, and Public Health Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress. He also served as the President of the China Education Association for International Exchange.
