Enterprise employee pension insurance adds new disability allowance
On [date], the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Finance released the "Interim Measures for Disability Allowances for Enterprise Employees' Basic Old-Age Insurance."
The method specifies that starting from a certain month and year, employees participating in the basic endowment insurance for enterprise workers who, before reaching the statutory retirement age, are diagnosed as completely incapacitated due to illness or non-work-related injury, may apply for monthly disability benefits. The funds required for this will be covered by the basic endowment insurance fund.
During the period of receiving disability benefits, no basic pension insurance premiums are required to be paid. The monthly standard and payment duration of disability benefits are determined based on the applicant's age and cumulative years of contributions at the time of applying for disability benefits. The monthly standard of disability benefits is adjusted in tandem with the national unified adjustment of basic pension levels.
By the end of the year, the number of people nationwide participating in the basic old-age insurance for enterprise employees reached tens of millions, an increase of millions compared to the end of the previous year.
