The spokesperson said that on the day of this month, the Pyongyang City Safety Bureau of the North Korean Ministry of Social Security, during a concentrated search of various districts in Pyongyang, discovered the wreckage of a crashed drone in the area of the 1st Residential Group in West Pu-dong, Brothers Mountain District.

The relevant professional agencies, including the Ministry of Defense and the National Defense Department, have formed a joint task force for reconnaissance, conducted technical appraisal and investigation on the drone, and determined that it was a drone released by South Korea. The North Korean professionals, through technical appraisal and analysis, judged that the drone that crashed in the West Pu area of Pyongyang City was a "long-range reconnaissance small drone" equipped by the "Drone Operations Command" of the South Korean military.

The North Korean side infers that the drone in question was used at least between days to days ago. South Korean Response: The unilateral claims made by North Korea are not confirmed and hold no value for rebuttal. The North Korean side stated that the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of the Korean People's Army have issued instructions to all units near Pyongyang and the border to enhance the deployment of defense surveillance posts. The General Staff of the Korean People's Army has decided that artillery joint units near the border and units tasked with critical firepower missions will continue to maintain a state of full combat readiness, and this decision has been approved.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense issued a warning stating that when South Korean military actions are once again detected and confirmed to infringe upon North Korea's territory, airspace, and maritime zones, they will be regarded as a severe military provocation and declaration of war against North Korea's sovereignty, and the North will retaliate promptly. In response, the South Korean Ministry of National Defense stated on the same day that there is no value in confirming or refuting North Korea's unilateral claims.
