U.S. Launches Emergency Investigation into a Top-Secret Intelligence Leak!
According to CCTV News, on a specific date, three sources familiar with the matter revealed that the United States is investigating a highly classified intelligence leak concerning an Israeli plan to retaliate against Iran. It is understood that the leaked intelligence may have been intended to sabotage Israel's retaliatory actions.
Previously, an account named "Middle East Observer" posted these top-secret documents on a social platform ("Telegram"), with tags indicating that the documents were intended for viewing only by the United States and its allies Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. One of the informed sources confirmed the authenticity of these documents. A U.S. official stated that the leak is "deeply concerning."
It is reported that these documents describe preparations that Israel appears to be making for a potential strike against Iran. One document, compiled by the U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, states that the plans involve Israel moving weapons and ammunition around the world in preparation for an attack on Iran. Another document, sourced from the U.S. National Security Agency, outlines exercises by the Israeli Air Force's air-to-ground missile systems and drone units, believed to be in preparation for a strike against Iran.
Additionally, one of the documents also suggests something that Israel has long refused to publicly confirm, namely that the country possesses nuclear weapons. The document states that the United States has seen no indication that Israel plans to use nuclear weapons against Iran. Some U.S. officials have confirmed that the leaked documents are authentic. One U.S. official said that a review is currently underway to determine who has access to these documents.
It is reported that any such leak would automatically trigger an investigation by the FBI, the Department of Defense, and U.S. intelligence agencies. Michael Muroy, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East Affairs, stated that if the tactical plans for Israel's response to Iran's attack on the specified date were indeed leaked, it would be a "serious dereliction of duty." Another U.S. official said: "The leak of these two documents is bad, but not terrifying. What is concerning is whether there are more that have not been released."
It is currently unclear how these documents were made public, nor is it clear whether they were hacked or deliberately leaked. Depending on the manner of the leak, trust between the United States and Israel could be compromised. A senior Israeli official responded, stating that Israel's defense agencies are aware of the alleged leak and take it very seriously.
