On the date, the National Energy Administration organized a special meeting on natural gas heating and supply for the heating season of 20--20, deeply implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, ensuring that the people have a warm winter.
Zhang Jianhua, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the National Energy Administration, delivered a speech at the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Ren Jingdong, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration. He Zhongwen, General Manager of the National Oil and Gas Pipeline Network Corporation, Zhang Daowei, Deputy General Manager of China National Petroleum Corporation, Niu Shuanwen, Deputy General Manager of China Petrochemical Corporation, and Yan Hongtao, Deputy General Manager of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, attended the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that the development situation of China's natural gas market has been generally favorable this year, with national natural gas consumption maintaining a medium-to-high speed growth. The meeting analyzed the supply and demand situation during the heating season, predicting a stable situation, with overall assurance in the total supply and peak-time supply capacity.
The meeting called for oil and gas enterprises to remain vigilant in times of stability and plan systematically, preparing effectively for various risks and challenges during the heating season amid the favorable development of the natural gas industry, and striving to promote the steady and long-term development of the natural gas industry. The meeting detailed the requirements for ensuring the supply of essential goods for the people and contractual supply, emphasizing the need for complementary energy sources and mutual support among enterprises, guiding the orderly and sustainable development of natural gas with stable expectations.
The meeting called for continuous strengthening of work in all stages of production, supply, storage, and sales, enhancing natural gas supply security, intensifying market operation oversight during the heating season, refining emergency response measures for extreme scenarios, comprehensively enhancing pipeline protection, and taking multiple measures to ensure the safe operation and stable supply of natural gas.
Officials from relevant departments of the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Administration, representatives from departments of China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and the National Pipeline Network Group attended the meeting.
