Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to the new President of Vietnam, Liang Qiang
On the date, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Le Duc Tho on his assumption of the office of President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Xi Jinping pointed out that in recent years, I have maintained close strategic communication with Vietnamese leaders, jointly leading the development of China-Vietnam relations into a new era of building a community with a shared future with strategic significance. In [month], General Secretary and President Su Lin successfully visited China, during which I had in-depth communication with him, reaching important consensus on deepening the construction of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
Not long ago, during your visit to China, we exchanged views on advancing the comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and Vietnam, agreeing to grasp the development of China-Vietnam relations from a strategic height, play a leading role in setting the direction, and ensure that bilateral relations progress along the correct path. Both sides should jointly implement the high-level consensus between the two parties and two countries, promote more practical results in the comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and Vietnam, and support the modernization processes of both nations.
China will firmly support Vietnam in following the socialist path that suits its national conditions and in preparing for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. I place great importance on the development of China-Vietnam relations and am willing to work together with President Luong Cuong to deepen and solidify the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, bringing more benefits to the peoples of both countries.
