全球最大的石油掉期交易做市商Onyx的分析认为，此次以色列的报复行动力度不大。研究公司，MST Marquee认为此次打击行动较为有限，让市场开始燃起了中东局势可能会缓和的希望。另有基础设施资本顾问的分析认为，预计油价将回到一个合理的价格区间，考虑到包括冬季供暖和旅游的需求，预计油价可能会徘徊在每桶75到95美元的区间。
但市场上也有另一派观点，美国普莱斯期货集团警告称，市场对波斯湾地区石油供应的担忧并没有结束。虽然眼下的直接威胁暂时解除了，但是不认为此次袭击就能结束双方的敌对状态，认为即使伊朗表示不会给出回应，但预计伊朗可能会试图让代理人重新集结，并以某种方式给出反应。
