The meeting of the China-Bolivia Economic and Trade Mixed Committee was held in La Paz.
On [Date], Wang Shouwen, the International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce, and Ahata, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia, jointly chaired the [X]th meeting of the China-Bolivia Mixed Economic and Trade Committee in La Paz, the capital of Bolivia, where they exchanged in-depth views on key issues of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
Wang Shouwen stated that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Arce, China-Bolivia economic and trade cooperation has yielded fruitful results. This year marks the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bolivia. China is willing to take this opportunity to implement the important consensus reached by the two countries' leaders, strengthen strategic alignment, and promote practical economic and trade cooperation.
China is willing to further promote bilateral trade, assist enterprises from both countries in conducting exchanges and cooperation, and welcomes the participation of the Bolivian side in important exhibitions such as the China International Import Expo, the Canton Fair, and the China International Fair for Trade in Services. China will continue to encourage capable enterprises to invest in Bolivia, is willing to discuss high-level arrangements for investment protection with the Bolivian side, and hopes that Bolivia will provide a more stable, transparent, and predictable investment environment for Chinese enterprises.
China is willing to explore cooperation in the fields of digital economy, green development, and standards while strengthening traditional areas of cooperation, continuously deepening communication and coordination under multilateral, bilateral, and regional frameworks. China also exchanged views with Bolivia on specific issues and suggestions raised by Chinese enterprises in Bolivia.
The Bolivian side expressed that it highly values the development of strategic partnership with China and hopes to deepen cooperation with China in various fields. Bolivia welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest in Bolivia and is willing to negotiate a bilateral investment agreement with China, paying attention to the concerns of Chinese enterprises and continuously improving the business environment. Bolivia hopes to continue expanding the export of Bolivian products to China, providing convenience for bilateral trade and investment through financial cooperation, encouraging more Bolivian enterprises to engage in online exchanges and participate in exhibitions with Chinese enterprises, and continuously exploring the potential for economic and trade cooperation.
After the meeting, Wang Shouwen and the representatives from Bolivia jointly signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Investment Cooperation in the Field of Digital Economy" and the handover certificate for the livelihood assistance project.
