Previously, the Hong Kong stock market has been suspended multiple times due to severe weather. According to a review by First Financial News based on announcements from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, since then, severe weather has led to the suspension of trading in the Hong Kong stock market on multiple occasions, with the duration ranging from several hours to an entire trading day. In just 2023, there have been 7 suspensions, including 5 full-day suspensions. During the trading halt, investors are unable to manage their portfolios and must bear potential market risks, especially when the markets related to their positions are still open for trading.
