On a certain date, China Metallurgical News Agency and Xingtai Iron and Steel (hereinafter referred to as Xinggang) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Xingtai, Hebei. Fan Tiejun, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China Metallurgical News Agency, and Zhang Yuming, Chairman of Xinggang, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the trends in the steel industry, brand building, and other topics. According to the agreement, both parties will engage in in-depth and comprehensive cooperation in areas such as brand shaping, new product promotion, introduction of new technologies, and information consulting.

Zhang Yuming introduced that Xingtai Iron and Steel was established in a certain year and is a top enterprise in China's manufacturing industry. It implements the strategy of "doing fine, doing specialized, and doing strong", adhering to the transformation from general steel to special steel, from low-end to high technology content and high added value, and from relying on resource and energy consumption to technology-led and innovation-driven, following the "road to excellence". Its products cover the full range of ultra-low carbon steel, low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, high carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel, with some products being the first in the country. Currently, the relocation and transformation project of Xingtai Steel adopts the "molten reduction ironmaking + electric furnace steelmaking" short-process smelting process, which is a typical process for synergistic pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and has a demonstration significance for the green and low-carbon transformation and development of the steel industry.

Zhang Yuming stated that in the new development stage, brand building is crucial for Xingtai Steel, to some extent affecting product value, market share, and subsequently generating benefits.
