In the first three quarters, China's new installations of renewable energy power generation exceeded 100 million kilowatts, accounting for more than 80% of the total new power installations. The latest data shows that in the first three quarters, the country's new installations of renewable energy power generation reached 100 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 100%, accounting for 100% of the new power installations. Among them, new hydropower installations were 10,000 megawatts, new wind power installations were 10,000 megawatts, new solar power installations were 100 million kilowatts, and new biomass power installations were 10,000 megawatts.

As of the end of the month, the national installed capacity of renewable energy reached 1.29 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 14.0%. Meanwhile, the generation of renewable energy has been steadily increasing. In the first three quarters, the national generation of renewable energy reached 2.07 trillion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 11.2% year-on-year, accounting for about 31.0% of the total power generation; among which, the combined generation of wind and solar power reached 1.06 trillion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 18.9%, roughly equivalent to the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry during the same period, and exceeding the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents.
