The incident resulted in the death of one Marine Corps soldier and injuries to others. On yet another day, a Taiwanese soldier experienced a severe accident during a live-fire exercise at the Qingquan Gang Base. The soldier was hit in the jaw, and the bullet penetrated through the head, leading to his death despite being rushed to the hospital.
