Recently, the first batch of humanoid robot embodied intelligence standards in the country have been released, and the mass production of humanoid robots is gradually becoming a reality? At the recent Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence Innovation Forum held in Shanghai, the National-Local Joint Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, in collaboration with leading companies and institutions in the industry, jointly released the first batch of humanoid robot embodied intelligence standards in the country—the "Humanoid Robot Classification and Grading Application Guide" and the "Embodied Intelligence Intelligent Level Grading Guide."

Currently, humanoid robots have become an industry encouraged for development in China. The year was defined as the year of maturity for the capabilities of humanoid robots, meaning that through large-scale deployment in various scenarios, training materials are enriched and further feedback is provided to enhance the robots' capabilities. Regions across the country are actively promoting the application of humanoid robots in industrial manufacturing, healthcare, service industries, and other fields, accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading.

The China Software评测中心 believes that under the guidance of the government and driven by investment, the humanoid robot industry will continue to grow at a high speed in 2023 and 2024, with the industry scale in China expected to exceed 100 billion yuan by 2024.

Coincidentally, countries and regions enthusiastic about humanoid robots have spread across the globe. On a certain date, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated via video at the opening of the eighth Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, that within the next decade, the number of humanoid robots in the world will exceed that of humans. By 2030, at least one billion humanoid robots will be in use globally.

Musk also stated that this development will propel humanity into an era of abundance. "Robots can handle various tasks, significantly altering the dynamics of the labor market, and the cost of such robots will be significantly reduced, likely to around $25,000."

Musk's prediction echoed the remarks made by SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son on the same day. Son also stated at the same investment conference that by the year, a super artificial intelligence smarter than the human brain by a factor of a million would emerge.

It is reported that Tesla is developing a humanoid robot named "Optimus." Musk previously revealed that by the year, Tesla will have thousands of humanoid robots in operation, with commercial mass production officially starting in the year and eventually becoming Tesla's "biggest product ever." Musk believes that the Optimus robot will make Tesla a trillion-dollar company.

In addition to Tesla, over a dozen companies are researching similar technologies, including Toyota Research Institute and Boston Dynamics. For instance, Boston Dynamics released a new demonstration video of its humanoid robot on the 1st, showcasing the robot's ability to autonomously sort car hoods without human intervention.

Masayoshi Son revealed that SoftBank is focusing on achieving super artificial intelligence, planning to invest hundreds of billions of dollars to continuously drive the development of future artificial intelligence, aiming to keep the company at the forefront of this technological leap. However, he believes that realizing super artificial intelligence will require investments amounting to several trillion dollars.

Under the impetus of the artificial intelligence boom, capital markets are also pouring into robotics-related enterprises. Tech giants like Tesla are purchasing large quantities of AI chips. Musk stated earlier this year that Tesla's annual investment in AI infrastructure, including Nvidia hardware, would be at least in the billions of dollars. Since the beginning of this year, SoftBank's stock price has also seen a cumulative increase of over %; Nvidia's stock price has surged by more than %.
