According to a WeChat public account post by the Ministry of National Defense, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan recently held an award ceremony, where all over a hundred Chinese peacekeeping engineers and medical personnel from the contingent dispatched to Wau, South Sudan, were honored with the United Nations Peace Medal for their outstanding contributions to maintaining peace and stability in South Sudan. Officials from various levels of the mission and over a hundred guests, including the Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan, attended the ceremony.
