Quality Consumption Month in China's International Consumer Center Cities Launched
On the date, the launch ceremony of the China International Consumption Center Cities Premium Consumption Month was held in Shanghai. Attending the event were Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Central Radio and Television Station Shen Haixiong, and Mayor of Shanghai Gong Zheng. Mayor of Beijing Yin Yong, Mayor of Tianjin Zhang Gong, Mayor of Chongqing Hu Henghua, and Mayor of Guangzhou Sun Zhiyang attended the event via video link from their respective local venues.
The Ministry of Commerce has earnestly implemented the decisions and plans of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, organizing Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, and Chongqing to jointly hold the China International Consumption Center Cities Premium Consumption Month in a coordinated effort. This event serves as a landmark activity for the implementation of the "Consumption Boosting Action" and a highlight of the "Consumption Promotion Year."
The event adopts the "++" format and will feature a premium launch season, focusing on four main areas: premium shopping, gourmet experiences, luxury travel, and high-end performances. A series of consumption promotion activities will be organized to stimulate market vitality and promote the upgrading and expansion of consumption.
At the launch ceremony, Wang Wentao and Shen Haixiong delivered speeches, while Gong Zheng, Yin Yong, Zhang Gong, Hu Henghua, and Sun Zhiyang introduced the key activities and measures of their respective cities. Industry associations such as the China General Chamber of Commerce released joint proposals and work measures, and representatives from five major city business districts, pedestrian streets, and enterprises announced promotional measures. Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, and relevant leaders from the five cities participated in the above activities.
