A six-foot narrow lane, where benevolence is beautiful. According to historical records, during the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Ying, the Grand Secretary of the Wen Hua Hall and Minister of Rites, faced a dispute over宅基地 between his family in Tongcheng and their neighbor, the Wu family. Both sides refused to yield. Zhang's family wrote to Zhang Ying for help, and he responded with a poem: "A single letter came only for a wall, letting him have three feet, what harm could it do? The Great Wall of ten thousand miles still stands today, but the First Emperor of Qin is no more." Upon seeing the letter, Zhang's family voluntarily retreated three feet, and the Wu family, deeply moved, also retreated three feet, forming a six-foot wide lane between them. This lane, known as the "Six-Foot Lane," became a model of harmonious neighborly courtesy in China, witnessing the inheritance and promotion of traditional Chinese virtues.

In June, the General Secretary emphasized in a speech at a symposium on the development of cultural heritage that "peace, harmony, and harmony are the concepts that have been passed down in Chinese civilization for over five thousand years, advocating for a world constructed on moral order where the individual and the collective are integrated, and prioritizing others in the relationship between self and others."
