President Xi Jinping pointed out: "For over a century, we have adhered to integrating Marxist ethnic theory with the specific realities of China's ethnic issues and with the excellent traditional Chinese culture, creatively forging a correct path to solving ethnic problems with Chinese characteristics." This represents the greatest achievement in the Party's ethnic work over the past century, is the essential route to enhancing the great unity of the Chinese nation and advancing the construction of the Chinese national community, and demonstrates significant superiority and strong vitality.

This path originates from the great process of advancing the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism. Since its establishment, our Party has consistently adhered to the use of Marxist positions, viewpoints, and methods to analyze China's ethnic issues, actively exploring a path to resolve ethnic issues that is suitable for China's national conditions. After the founding of New China, the Party established a national theory and policy framework centered on ethnic equality, ethnic unity, regional ethnic autonomy, and the common prosperity of all ethnic groups. Since the reform and opening up, the Party has shifted the focus of ethnic work to advancing socialist modernization, enshrining the system of regional ethnic autonomy as a fundamental political system of China, and making the theme of ethnic work the joint struggle and development of all ethnic groups. Since the 18th National Congress of the Party, the Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has placed ethnic work within the historical process of achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, emphasizing concepts such as the big family of the Chinese nation, the community of the Chinese nation, strengthening the consciousness of the community of the Chinese nation, and advancing the construction of the community of the Chinese nation. Strengthen and improve the Party's comprehensive leadership over ethnic work. The Communist Party of China is the most reliable backbone for all ethnic groups, and the Party's leadership is the fundamental guarantee for doing ethnic work well and for maintaining the great unity of the Chinese nation. We must perfect the grand united front work framework, leverage the role of the united front work leading groups at all levels, enhance the overall planning and systematic layout of ethnic work, and strengthen the research and deployment of major policies, key tasks, and important issues.
