Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping recently signed an order to release the "Regulations on Military Equipment Support," which will come into effect on the designated date.

The Regulations are guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deeply implement Xi Jinping's Strong Military Thought, and thoroughly adhere to the military strategic guideline for the new era. They aim to effectively fulfill the missions and tasks of the People's Army in the new era, fully focus on combat readiness, deeply grasp the characteristics and laws of equipment support work, scientifically standardize the basic requirements and institutional arrangements for equipment support work under the new situation, and serve as the primary basis for military equipment support work.

The Regulations consist of chapters and articles, adhering to the general principle of "the Central Military Commission overseeing overall management, the war zones focusing on combat, and the military branches focusing on construction." They standardize the mechanisms for military equipment support under the new system and structure, clarify the functional boundaries of various levels of equipment support departments, optimize the "supply, management, and repair" mechanisms and processes for equipment support, strengthen the rigid constraints on equipment support work, and focus on promoting the innovative development of military equipment support.
