On a certain date, the Jiangsu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision announced the handling of violations of the Eight-Point Rules of the Central Committee across the province in a certain month. The announcement showed that in that month, a total of related issues were investigated across Jiangsu, with people receiving criticism, education, and handling, including people receiving party and government disciplinary sanctions. Among them, were county and division-level cadres, and were staff at the township and below levels.
To monitor the implementation of the Eight-point Regulations of the Central Committee and the Ten-point Regulations of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, the Jiangsu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has established a monthly reporting system for the implementation of the Eight-point Regulations in cities under its jurisdiction, provincial government departments, provincial state-owned enterprises, and universities. This system regularly releases to the public the situation of investigating "four undesirable styles" issues across the province, sending a strong signal that the enforcement of the Eight-point Regulations will become increasingly stringent, thereby driving continuous improvement in party conduct, government integrity, and social ethos.
In the month of the year, a total of 1,000 violations of the Eight-Point Regulation of the Central Committee were investigated across the province, with 2,000 people receiving criticism, education, and handling, including 1,500 who were given party and government sanctions. In terms of the types of issues, 800 cases of formalism and bureaucratism were investigated, involving 1,200 people who received criticism, education, and handling, while 200 cases of hedonism and extravagant conduct were investigated, involving 800 people who received criticism, education, and handling. In terms of the levels of personnel, 300 county and division-level cadres and 1,700 staff at the township and section levels or below were criticized, educated, and handled.
