The People's Procuratorate of Hangzhou City has filed an indictment alleging that from year to year, the defendant Zhang Hongli, while serving as a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, utilized his position to provide assistance to certain units and individuals in matters such as loan financing and job placements. Zhang directly or through others illegally accepted property from these units and individuals, totaling approximately RMB . billion in equivalent value.
The procuratorial organs have filed a request to prosecute Zhang Hongli for the criminal charge of bribery. During the trial, the procuratorial organs presented relevant evidence, the defendant Zhang Hongli and his defense attorneys conducted cross-examination, both the prosecution and the defense fully expressed their opinions under the guidance of the court, and Zhang Hongli made a final statement, admitting guilt and expressing remorse in court.
