According to CCTV News, citing Reuters and CBS News, Southwest Airlines issued a statement on the evening of the date that Flight, operated by the company, was shot at while at Dallas Love Field Airport.

Passengers were already on board when the incident occurred, and the aircraft was preparing for takeoff. A spokesperson for Southwest Airlines said that a bullet struck the right side of the plane as the crew was preparing for departure. The aircraft has now been taken out of service.
