On the evening of the specified date, the Dingyuan County Public Security Bureau of Anhui Province released a police report, detaining 12 illegal personnel from the project department of China Railway Seventh Group.

China Railway Seventh Group later issued a statement expressing deep apologies to the injured journalist and firmly accepting the decision of the Dingyuan County Public Security Bureau regarding the handling of the named law violators.

After research, it has been decided to dismiss Wang, the project division manager, Yang, the deputy manager, and Wu, the manager, on the spot; Chen, the Party Working Committee Secretary and Commander of the fourth section, and Qu, the Deputy Party Working Committee Secretary, who bear management responsibilities in this incident, are also dismissed on the spot.

The company has initiated an internal accountability process and will handle the matter seriously in accordance with laws and regulations.

In its statement, China Railway Seventh Group said it will deeply reflect on the issues exposed, learn from the incident to prevent similar occurrences, and resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of journalists in conducting public opinion supervision.
