China's first domestically designed and built deep-sea drilling vessel, the "Dream"号, officially joined the fleet in Guangzhou on a certain date. This marks a significant breakthrough in China's key deep-sea exploration technology and equipment.

The "Dream" drilling and production system is internationally leading, with a maximum drilling depth of meters, equipped with various drilling modes and coring methods. It is expected to help global scientists achieve the scientific dream of "penetrating the crust and entering the deep Earth."

Providing significant platform support for deep-sea resource exploration in our country, the development of key technological equipment, and global scientists conducting ocean drilling research.

"Mengxiang" was initiated by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Natural Resources, with the specific organization and implementation undertaken by the China Geological Survey of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the design and construction tasks were completed jointly by multiple units including China Shipbuilding Group.
