On the evening of the day, a girl tragically fell to her death from a height inside the large shopping mall, Wanzianghui, in Jining, Shandong. Video footage shows the girl in a white dress standing at a corner next to an escalator, with a glass railing behind her that was less than a meter high. It is suspected that the girl leaned against the glass railing, and a few seconds later, the railing detached, causing the girl to lose her balance. She attempted to grab the escalator but failed, and subsequently fell from the upper floor.

It is understood that the incident occurred on the evening of the 25th on the 4th floor of the Ji'ning Wanzhang Hui shopping mall in Shandong, which only opened on the 22nd. The total construction area of the mall is approximately 100,000 square meters. On the 26th, a reporter called the Ji'ning High-tech Zone Emergency Management Bureau and the Jiezhuang Police Station. Staff members stated that the matter is currently under investigation. According to Urban Scene News, the girl who fell has unfortunately passed away.

Previously, it was reported that the girl fell from the building while waiting for a seat, to which one merchant responded, "There were indeed many customers in the mall yesterday, but not many today."

The reporter noted that the day before the incident, Jining Wanda Plaza had just undergone a safety inspection. According to The Public Network, on the date, in response to the reality of high foot traffic in newly opened shopping malls, the Jiezhuang Police Station of Jining High-tech Zone organized police forces to conduct an internal safety inspection at Wanda Plaza in the jurisdiction to effectively prevent safety accidents. During the inspection, the police focused on checking the internal staffing situation of the mall, the storage and operation status of surveillance equipment, the implementation of safety management systems, emergency response measures for incidents, and the construction and operation of human, material, technical, and fire prevention facilities. They conducted a thorough inspection and testing on employees' knowledge of fire extinguishing and emergency measures, the configuration of fire safety equipment, the laying of electrical circuits, the setting of safety exits, and the arrangement of evacuation channels.
