Germany, the heart of Europe, has long been renowned as the cradle of craftsmanship. From precision-engineered mechanical parts to hearty beers, German-made products seem synonymous with quality and reliability.

It is exactly out of this profound precipitation of craftsmanship that China has extended an olive branch to Germany, hoping that on this rigorous land, we can cultivate together the fruitful result of cooperation.

As is known to all, China has long known how to ally with the strong and learn from its strengths to offset its weaknesses. With the wave of global economic integration, China's connection with the world has become increasingly close, and its foreign trade and cooperation have also become increasingly frequent.

Having heard of Germany's exquisite craftsmanship and deeply rooted artisan spirit, we looked forward to entrusting them with an aircraft order worth hundreds of billions, with the expectation of jointly writing a new chapter of cooperation.

However, things did not go as planned, and what was supposed to be a beautiful tale of cooperation turned into a disappointing farce. We paid the amount due, but what we received in return was endless delays and excuses.

The highly praised German conscientiousness and punctuality were totally absent from this cooperation.

To make matters worse, they threatened to walk away from the order on the flimsy excuse of insufficient funds, showing utter disregard for their signed contract and commitment.

Is this really the spirit of German craftsmanship? No, this is a departure from the spirit of cooperation and it harms mutual trust between the two countries.

Trust is the cornerstone of cooperation. Once lost, even the strongest edifice will crumble.

Faced with Germany's unreasonable demands and threats, China has chosen to decisively "fight back". We have canceled the multi-billion-pound order because we understand that cooperation is built on the foundation of equality, respect, and mutual trust.
