On March 28, the 2023 National Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Demonstration Test Platform (Daqing Base) Data Results Release Conference was held in Beijing. The conference comprehensively and systematically interpreted and released the 2023 demonstration test data results of the National Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Demonstration Test Platform (Daqing Base).

The National Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Demonstration Testing Platform (Daqing Base) is built and operated by State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Huanghe Co., Ltd. It is the world's first full-scale photovoltaic and energy storage demonstration testing platform, and also the first "national" demonstration testing platform approved by National Energy Administration (NEA). The platform started operation in November 2021 and officially began demonstration testing work in January 2022, filling the gap in the industry's outdoor testing.

During the meeting, Xie Xiaoping, Director of the Academic Committee of the National Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Demonstration and Experiment Platform (Daqing Base), introduced the experimental data results of 2023. He shared the experimental data from seven dimensions: meteorological environment, components, inverters, brackets, energy storage products, photovoltaic systems, and photovoltaic storage systems, providing a scientific basis and empirical research for the country and the industry to formulate industrial policies, technical standards, and build a new energy system.

It is understood that the data release is the result of the second full year of data collection and analysis. In 2023, the platform continuously optimized the data analysis methods and improved the data analysis content based on extensive consultation with industry experts. It deeply explored the correlation between different data, studied the reliability of product operation under long-term actual working conditions, summarized the long-term operation rules of products and systems in high latitudes and cold temperature zones, and formed 361 empirical experimental comparative data.

Xiang Haiping, chief engineer of the National Energy Administration, pointed out that it is necessary to unite industry forces to further promote the deep integration of production, education and research, strengthen the application of platform data results, and provide "data productivity" to promote the high-quality development of China's new energy.

"The platform pays close attention to industry hotspots and urgent needs, conducts three types of empirical research for industries, regions, and power grids, and provides empirical support for the high-quality development of the photovoltaic and energy storage industries." Yao Xiaoyan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of State Power Investment Yellow River Company, said,"In the follow-up, we will build empirical experimental bases in other typical climate areas, open up empirical experimental data from different typical climate areas, and provide supporting services for the high-quality development of the photovoltaic and energy storage industries. and empirical reference."
