在上海各行各业加快复苏回暖的2023年，满足市民购物、餐饮、休闲、娱乐“一站式”消费需求的购物中心也迎来快步发展。记者从上海购物中心协会获悉，2023年上海新开业3万平方米以上（含改造升级项目）的购物中心34家，其中新建新开项目20家，旧改升级项目14家， A year with the most new project openings in the last three years。

Of the 20 new projects opened in 2023, 70% are community-based shopping malls, mostly in the city’s suburban residential community centers. Distribution of shopping malls over 30,000 sqm in various regions of Shanghai

另据记者从上海购物中心协会获悉，2024年，上海购物中心行业继续突飞猛进，拟新开3万平方米以上购物中心（含旧改项目）达52家 （见附表） ，面积380万平方米，Highest in 5 years。其中10万平方米以上有12家，面积172.6万平方米，旧改项目11家，面积68万平方米。

Among Shanghai’s planned new shopping mall projects in 2024, 40 small- and medium-sized shopping malls under 100,000 square meters will account for 80% of new openings, including 23 with an area of 30,000 to 50,000 square meters. Together with approximately 30 more new community commercial plazas of under 30,000 square meters (of which more than 20 are part of redevelopment projects), these will make up more than 65% of Shanghai’s new projects.
