Chapter I党员

Every member of the Communist Party of China is an ordinary member of the working people. Communist Party members must not seek any private gain or privilege beyond the scope of personal interests and job duties as prescribed by laws and policies.

It is based on the quality of the product itself that the quality of the service is guaranteed.党员必须履行下列义务：

(1) 认真学习马克思列宁主义、毛泽东思想、邓小平理论、“三个代表”重要思想、科学发展观、习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，学习党的路线、方针、政策和决议，学习党的基本知识和党的历史，学习科学、文化、法律和业务知识，努力提高为人民服务的本领。

Part One总则

Chapter I总体要求和适用范围

ARTICLE 4党的纪律处分工作遵循下列原则：

(1) 坚持党要管党、全面从严治党。把严的基调、严的措施、严的氛围长期坚持下去，加强对党的各级组织和全体党员的教育、管理和监督，把纪律挺在前面，抓早抓小、防微杜渐。

All party members are equal before party discipline. Party organizations and party members who violate party discipline must be strictly and fairly disciplined. No party organization or party member is allowed to be above party discipline.

Chapter II违纪与纪律处分

Article 7 党组织和党员违反党章和其他党内法规，违反国家法律法规，违反党和国家政策，违反社会主义道德，危害党、国家和人民利益的行为，依照规定应当给予纪律处理或者处分的，都必须受到追究。

Part II分则

Chapter VI对违反政治纪律行为的处分

Article 49 在重大原则问题上不同党中央保持一致且有实际言论、行为或者造成不良后果的，给予警告或者严重警告处分；情节较重的，给予撤销党内职务或者留党察看处分；情节严重的，给予开除党籍处分。

Article 50 通过网络、广播、电视、报刊、传单、书籍等，或者利用讲座、论坛、报告会、座谈会等方式，公开发表坚持资产阶级自由化立场、反对四项基本原则，反对党的改革开放决策的文章、演说、宣言、声明等的，给予开除党籍处分。

Whoever publishes, broadcasts, prints or releases an article, speech, declaration or statement listed in the previous paragraph, or provides assistance for the aforementioned behaviors, shall be subject to a serious warning or a dismissal from the party position for the person directly responsible and the person in charge. In severe cases, a probationary party membership or expulsion from the party will be imposed.

Article 51 通过网络、广播、电视、报刊、传单、书籍等，或者利用讲座、论坛、报告会、座谈会等方式，有下列行为之一，情节较轻的，给予警告或者严重警告处分；情节较重的，给予撤销党内职务或者留党察看处分；情节严重的，给予开除党籍处分：

**（I）**Publicly publishing articles, speeches, statements, declarations, etc. that violate the Four Cardinal Principles, go against or distort the Party’s reform and opening-up decisions, or have other serious political problems;

**（II）** Discusses the Party Central Committee's major policies and principles without authorization, violating the Party's centralized unity.

(III) Damage the image of the Party and the State, or slander or vilify the leaders of the Party and the State, heroes and role models, or distort the history of the Party, the history of the People's Republic of China, or the history of the People's Army.

For those listed in the preceding paragraph who broadcast, publish, or print the contents or provide facilitation for the above-mentioned actions, the direct responsible person and the leaders in charge shall be given serious warnings or be removed from party posts; those with serious cases shall be subject to probation within the party or expulsion from the party.

Article 52 制作、贩卖、传播第五十条、第五十一条所列内容之一的报刊、书籍、音像制品、电子读物，以及网络文本、图片、音频、视频资料等，情节较轻的，给予警告或者严重警告处分；情节较重的，给予撤销党内职务或者留党察看处分；情节严重的，给予开除党籍处分。

Those who smuggle in or out of the country any of the publications, books, audio/video products, or electronic publications listed in Articles 50 and 51 shall, if the circumstances are serious, be given a warning or a serious warning as a disciplinary penalty; if the circumstances are severe, be given the disciplinary penalty of being removed from their post within the party, being put on probation, or being expelled from the party.
