From March 16th to 17th, a series of academic activities to promote Min Enze's spirit of scientist,"Immortal Meritorious Service, Eternal Fire" was held in Beijing. More than 200 experts and scholars in the energy and chemical industry gathered together to deeply remember Academician Min Enze's outstanding contributions to China's energy and chemical industry, inherit and carry forward the spirit of scientists represented by Academician Min Enze, discuss academics, exchange ideas, and build consensus.

Min Enze is a famous petrochemical expert in China, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences, and winner of the highest national science and technology award. He is the founder of China's refining and catalytic application science, a pioneer of independent innovation in petrochemical technology, and a pioneer in green chemistry., has made outstanding contributions to the development of China's energy and chemical industry.

This series of academic activities is hosted by Sinopec; hosted by the Sinopec Academy of Petrochemical Engineering, the Department of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Department of Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the National Key Laboratory of Molecular Transformation and Reaction Engineering of Petrochemical Industries; including promoting Min Enze The academic forum and the youth academic report are two themed activities.

At the opening ceremony of the academic forum, Li Jinghai, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, vice chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee, and chairman of the Beijing City Association for Science and Technology, and Dai Houliang, chairman and party secretary of China National Petroleum Corporation, attended the meeting. Ma Yongsheng, Chairman and Party Secretary of Sinopec Group, Chen Jianfeng, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary-General of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Wang Dujin, Director of the Academic Work Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered speeches. Zhao Dong, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of Sinopec Group, presided over the meeting. Bao Xinhe, President of the University of Science and Technology of China, Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Yu Jihong, Member and Deputy Director of the Party Leadership Group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Li Shousheng, President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Zhong Ren, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Sinopec Group, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager Li Yonglin and more than 30 academicians attended the meeting.

A special film on the life of Mr. Min Enze was broadcast at the meeting. At the subsequent forum report meeting, nine academicians and experts focused on single-atomic catalysis, molecular chemical engineering, materials technology innovation, biomanufacturing in the refining and chemical industry, nano-confinement and catalytic reactions, hydrocarbon processing development, transformative technologies in the new petrochemical industry, Keynote reports were made in areas such as the construction and application of full-genome digital cell factories.

Relevant persons in charge of the China Petroleum Society and the China Chemical Society, experts and scholars from some domestic universities and scientific research institutes, representatives of relevant departments, professional companies, directly affiliated research institutes and some directly affiliated enterprises of Sinopec, relatives, former friends and student representatives of Mr. Min Enze, news media representatives and others participated in the event.
