On [date], CITIC Capital Holdings Limited ("CITIC Capital") announced that its private equity investment business, CITIC Capital China Partners, has signed an agreement with CITIC Limited (0267.HK) to acquire its stake in McDonald's Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau business (hereinafter referred to as "McDonald's China"). Following the transaction, the CITIC Capital consortium (including CITIC Capital and its private equity investment business CITIC Capital China Partners) will remain the controlling shareholder of McDonald's China. This move further demonstrates the long-term confidence of the CITIC Capital consortium in McDonald's China's business.

That is to say, upon completion of this transaction, the shares of McDonald's China held by the CITIC group will transition from being jointly held by CITIC Limited and CITIC Capital to being solely held by the CITIC Capital consortium.

Based on a firm confidence in the prospects of China's economy and consumer market, as well as a continued positive outlook on the future development potential of McDonald's China, CITIC Capital and its consortium have decided to further increase their investment in McDonald's China.
