The 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition kicked off in Zhuhai, China, on a certain date. It is reported that the airshow will last for several days, with over 700 enterprises from countries and regions including Russia, the United States, and France participating. A batch of "high, precise, and advanced" exhibits representing world-class standards will be showcased collectively, covering all dimensions of "land, sea, air, space, electricity, and networks," fully demonstrating the innovative achievements in China's aviation, aerospace, and national defense sectors.

Iron is a crucial substance supporting the aerospace era. At the Zhuhai Airshow, Shanghai University, Shangshan Institute, and Hebei Longfengshan Casting Industry Co., Ltd. jointly presented the theme "Cosmic Iron - Real Iron - Future Iron." Through rich graphic posters and diverse exhibits, they comprehensively showcased the journey of iron from its origins in the cosmos to its widespread application in modern society, and to its future utilization in the aerospace era, including the advanced concept of efficiently exploiting lunar iron ore resources while producing oxygen and iron. Additionally, the high-purity pig iron, fire-refined iron, electrolytic iron, and zone-refined iron developed through their collaboration also garnered significant attention at the exhibition.

The "Flash Blade" light multipurpose tactical vehicle, independently designed and manufactured by the Shangshan Institute in collaboration with relevant units, made a stunning debut at the airshow, showcasing advanced armored vehicle protection solutions to domestic and international military vehicle enterprises and professional audiences. The vehicle's body incorporates the team's developed mega-pascal level bulletproof steel and wide-plate cold bending technology. Compared to existing bulletproof steels of the same protection level (NATO-grade), the mega-pascal level bulletproof steel achieves a weight reduction of over %.

Yang Liwei, China's first astronaut and deputy chief designer of the manned space program, visited the exhibition booth. Dong Han, a distinguished scholar of Shanghai University and the dean of the Shangshan Institute, provided him with a detailed introduction to the development of iron in the era of aerospace. Yang Liwei expressed his appreciation and approval for the "Cosmic Iron - Real Iron - Future Iron" preparation direction proposed by the Shangshan Institute, and encouraged the institute to transform its scientific research advantages into industrial and developmental advantages, contributing to the advancement of China's aerospace industry.

Iron, this ancient yet vibrant substance, will shine even more brilliantly in the future era of aerospace.
