Xi Jinping pointed out that the collective rise of the Global South is a distinct symbol of the great changes in the world. The joint march of Global South countries towards modernization is a significant event in world history and an unprecedented feat in the progress of human civilization. At the same time, the world still faces severe challenges in peace and development, and the path to revitalization for the Global South will inevitably be bumpy. As the first echelon of the Global South, we must demonstrate our collective wisdom and strength, shouldering the responsibility to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Upholding peace and achieving common security. We must serve as a stabilizing force for maintaining peace, strengthen global security governance, and explore solutions that address both the symptoms and root causes of hotspot issues. My proposal for a Global Security Initiative has received positive responses from various parties and has already achieved significant results in multiple fields, including maintaining regional stability. We must work to quickly ease the situation in the Ukraine crisis and pave the way for a political resolution. Efforts should continue to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, restart the "two-state solution," and prevent the spread of conflict in Lebanon.

——Revitalizing Development, Achieving Universal Prosperity. We must be the backbone of common development, actively participate in and lead reforms of the global economic governance system, and promote placing development at the center of international economic and trade agendas. Since the Global Development Initiative was proposed, it has mobilized nearly $1 billion in development funds and launched over 1,000 projects. The Global Industrial AI Alliance Excellence Center recently landed in Shanghai, and China will also establish an online cooperation platform for the Global "Smart Customs" and a demonstration center for BRICS customs. Countries are welcome to actively participate.

——Promote Civilization Together, Achieve Multicultural Harmony. We aim to be a driving force for mutual learning among civilizations, enhance communication and dialogue, and support each other in pursuing modernization paths that align with our respective national conditions. China will take the lead in establishing a Global South Think Tank Cooperation Alliance to foster cultural exchanges and mutual learning in governance among countries.

Xi Jinping emphasized that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has made systematic arrangements for further comprehensively deepening reforms and advancing the Chinese modernization, which will undoubtedly provide more opportunities for the world. Regardless of how the international situation changes, China always keeps the global South in mind, roots itself in the global South, supports more countries from the global South to join the BRICS initiative, gathers the tremendous strength of the global South, and jointly promotes the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
