On the date, at the Third "Belt and Road" Energy Ministerial Conference, the release of 10 "small but beautiful" best practices in international energy cooperation became one of the significant achievements of the conference.

Energy cooperation is a key area of the Belt and Road Initiative. Since its inception, the initiative has yielded abundant results in energy cooperation, constructing a large number of landmark energy projects and implementing numerous "small but beautiful" energy projects that benefit people's livelihoods, bringing tangible benefits to the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The recently released "small but beautiful" international energy cooperation project best practices cover five major categories: clean and low-carbon, intelligent innovation, livelihood improvement, soft power cooperation, and green finance. The specific list is as follows.

【Clean and Low-Carbon Category】 1. China Dongfang Electric Corporation, Nam Mang River Hydropower Station in Laos Actively aligns with Laos' strategy of "Building Southeast Asia's Battery" and "Transforming from a Landlocked Country to a Land-Linked Country," continuously achieving new results in the construction of the China-Laos Community with a Shared Future.

II. Jinko Energy Co., Ltd., Garissa Megawatt Photovoltaic Power Station Project, Kenya The project's grid-connected electricity price is significantly lower than the local residential electricity price, greatly reducing the electricity costs for local residents. The President of Kenya praised the project, saying it "brings stable power supply and supports local economic development."

III. China Three Gorges Corporation, Peru Photovoltaic Project: The first acquisition project of new energy power station assets in Peru by a Chinese-funded enterprise with majority ownership, capable of providing approximately one billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually to the local area.

IV. State Energy Investment Corporation Limited, Thrace Wind Power Project in Greece: China's first wind power project in Greece, actively contributing to the local green economy and the development of new energy industries.

V. China Huadian Corporation, Vietnam Hanjian Megawatt Photovoltaic Project Since its commissioning, the project has cumulatively reduced emissions by tens of thousands of tons, contributing to local green sustainable development and improvement of people's livelihoods.

China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., Mendy Battery Energy Storage Project in the UK The first grid-side energy storage project invested in, constructed, and operated by Chinese enterprises in European countries, playing an important supporting role in grid stability and contributing to the UK's goal of achieving net-zero emissions annually.

VII. China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited, JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd., Sirindhorn Dam Integrated Floating Photovoltaic Project in Thailand The first integrated energy project in Thailand combining floating photovoltaic and hydropower, also a key demonstration project for the Thai government's promotion of "carbon neutrality."

Eight, Trinity Heavy Energy Co., Ltd., Alkarek Megawatt Wind Power Project in Kazakhstan. This project can annually provide approximately 100 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 200,000 tons, and meet the annual electricity needs of over 10,000 households.
