The conference, themed "Cultural Renewal Leading Youth Development and Urban Future," focuses on cultural innovation, high-quality economic development, youth-friendly cities, and green sustainability. It brings together representatives from international organizations, government officials, and experts from the cultural and economic fields to discuss, from an international perspective, the renewal of cultural economy, explore effective ways to stimulate youth creativity and leadership in cities, drive high-quality urban economic development, and build youth-oriented cities, collectively promoting a sustainable urban future.

Xu Zhihu, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Committee for Urban and Rural Construction and Transportation, stated in his speech that "culture is the soul of a city. Urban historical and cultural heritage is the accumulation of the wisdom of our predecessors and an important symbol of the city's connotation, quality, and characteristics." Practicing the important concept of the people's city requires us to enrich the cultural foundation of urban construction, enhance the identity of the people with the city, the value recognition of co-development between the city and the people, the life recognition of the city serving and benefiting the people, thereby gathering powerful spiritual strength for the construction of the people's city.

Shanghai is the birthplace of the concept of "people's city" and a metropolis that widely attracts young talents. In recent years, Shanghai's construction and transportation systems have earnestly implemented the decisions and plans of the municipal party committee and government, aiming for a livable and comfortable environment for young people, with urban renewal as a lever, focusing on creating living spaces, social spaces, and work spaces that meet the needs of the youth population. A multi-level rental housing supply system of single rooms, individual rooms, and entire apartments has been established, and a talent housing system that combines renting, purchasing, subsidies, and services has been built, allowing young people to have a greater sense of gain, happiness, and security in the city. In the next step, efforts will focus on the diverse and multi-layered development needs of young people, integrating youth elements, characteristics, and strength throughout the entire process of urban construction and governance, ensuring that youth development and urban revitalization resonate in harmony, mutually reinforcing each other, and becoming a new growth pole that invigorates the city's cultural and economic vitality.

It serves as a model for future urban social life and will undoubtedly become a new landmark in Shanghai and a new benchmark for the global development of management education.

From the perspective of urban development, cities are oriented towards the future, and they should provide more space for young people. They should not be closed and oppressive, but open, inclusive, and encouraging of exploration and curiosity. All walls and oppressive roofs that hinder the growth of young people should be dismantled, allowing them to grow freely and create a future that we do not know and cannot imagine.
