Rich and creamy cashews, aromatic coffee... Tanzania, a land deeply cherished by nature, boasts a diverse and unique agricultural output. Now, these agricultural and food products are crossing oceans to meet Chinese consumers at the China International Import Expo.

Tanzania has participated in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for consecutive years, and this year it serves as the Guest of Honor country. Leveraging the CIIE platform, Chinese and Tanzanian enterprises have built a bridge of communication, effectively promoting bilateral trade.

Coffee is the shining star in Tanzania's agricultural products. On the promotional map for the CIIE from Tanzania, one can see the beautiful Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, with a land covered by orange volcanic ash representing fertility at its base. On this fertile soil, a cup of coffee surrounded by coffee beans exudes a rich aroma. Known as the "black gold," coffee is one of Tanzania's traditional export crops, mainly grown in high-altitude regions such as Mount Kilimanjaro. The fertile volcanic ash gives the coffee a thick texture, a gentle acidity, and a fragrance reminiscent of wine and fruit, leaving an unforgettable aftertaste.

Coffee cultivation not only brings substantial and stable income to the hardworking local farmers but also strongly drives the vigorous development of a series of related industries from planting, picking, roasting, to sales, injecting strong momentum into Tanzania's economic growth. In recent years, with the increasing demand for coffee among Chinese consumers and the continuous improvement in coffee quality, Tanzanian coffee producers are optimistic about the potential of the Chinese market and look forward to increasing coffee exports to China. Currently, Tanzanian coffee enterprises hope to open up the Chinese market and find stable partners through the platform of the China International Import Expo.

Cashews were the most popular Tanzanian specialty product at the last CIIE. Currently, China is one of the main export destinations for Tanzanian cashews. The Tanzanian government places great emphasis on the development of the cashew industry, actively formulates relevant policies and measures, increases support for cashew growers, and promotes technological upgrading and innovation in the cashew processing industry. At the same time, it continuously strengthens its connection with the international market, striving to enhance the global reputation and competitiveness of Tanzanian cashews.

In recent years, China and Tanzania have deepened their cooperation in the cashew industry, with cashew processing bases from Tanzania being established in China. This has created a complete industrial chain from agriculture to industrial processing automation. The cooperation between China and Tanzania in the cashew and food processing industry has not only significantly increased the export volume of Tanzania's cashew nuts but also enhanced the added value of its cashew industry.

Cashews, coffee, carrageenan, avocados... These agricultural products are essential delicacies in the daily lives of Tanzanians, and they have gradually entered the Chinese market starting from the CIIE, allowing more Chinese consumers to taste the sweetness and beauty of Tanzania.
