【Abstract】This article focuses on the application of the "Six Places" of red cultural resources in Liaoning in military theory education and the effects produced. By exploring the educational value of these six red cultural heritage sites—the starting point of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the turning point of the Liberation War, the source of the national anthem of the new China, the departure point for the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, the foundation of the industrial base of the republic, and the birthplace of Lei Feng spirit—this article assesses the practical effects of these red cultural resources in cultivating the ideals and beliefs, revolutionary spirit, and national defense concepts of university students.
