On April 11, the 18th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference was held in Xingyi City, Southwest Guizhou Autonomous Prefecture. This event attracted many experts and scholars to discuss the future development path of Guizhou tourism.

Zheng Jianping, executive director of the China Tourism Planning and Design Institute, and Nie Huajun, chairman of Shenzhen Locket Visual Effects Technology Co., Ltd., agreed that Guizhou's tourism industry should transform from a single tourism product to a destination, lifestyle, normalization, and boundless direction. Through AI digital means, we can effectively integrate and promote resources, and truly achieve digital innovation from attractions to the entire region.

Tourism is about creating a new lifestyle and not about shuttling between attractions

Zheng Jianping pointed out that the transformation of the tourism industry is an inevitable trend. This transformation means changing from a single tourism product to a destination, life, normalization, and boundless direction. Tourism is a process of shaping a new lifestyle. It is by no means a simple process of rushing from one attraction to another. He emphasized that tourism thinking should be integrated into industrial thinking and urban thinking, and tourism-oriented planning of life forms and production forms during the urban planning stage.

Regarding the design plan of Guizhou's tourism products, Zheng Jianping believes that Guizhou's tourism products are too single and thinking is still concentrated on scenic spots. "In the future, tourism will be more non-ticket tourism, such as open-style urban cultural tourism, rural cultural tourism, etc. People pay more attention to comprehensive experience." Taking Liupanshui as an example, Zheng Jianping introduced that it can be planned as a resort city, making full use of its climate difference health care function to plan urban form, vacation form, lifestyle form and consumption form.

"It is necessary to break the restrictions on scenic spots and build the city itself as a scenic spot." Zheng Jianping called on future tourism practitioners to re-examine the function and value of tourism and integrate tourism into the industrial ecology and tourism ecosystem. At the same time, the government also needs to carry out reforms to integrate tourism thinking into urban planning and design.

AI digitalization will bring unprecedented opportunities to Guizhou tourism

Nie Huajun said that AI technology has broad application prospects in many fields such as film production, immersive spaces, cultural and tourism content and IP. He proposed that based on specific IP, AI technology can be used to display more secondary, anime or related IP content, and display it online and then extend it offline for people to experience it personally.

"Guizhou has unique advantages and foundation and can integrate this advanced concept. For example, creating some storylines in specific scenic spots in Guizhou allows tourists to integrate into the plot and experience it after 'crossing'. This will not only reduce costs, but also greatly enhance interactivity and fun, and visitors can immerse themselves more deeply in this experience." Nie Huajun said.

Nie Huajun believes that Guizhou's tourism hardware facilities are already complete, but what is currently lacking is creativity and content.

Nie Huajun suggested that first of all, we should use advanced technologies such as AI to quickly and continuously output content and carry out commercial and effective marketing promotion; secondly, we should conduct in-depth analysis of young user portraits so as to carry out more accurate marketing planning; and finally, we should further activate the IP image to make it more attractive to people's attention and love.

"Guizhou has unlimited space for tourism development. It not only has rich natural resources and a superior foundation for physical space construction, but also contains profound national culture and historical heritage and other resources for development and utilization. Effective integration and promotion of these resources through digitalization and other means will surely bring huge development opportunities and potential to Guizhou's tourism industry." Nie Huajun said.
